Коротко

У каждого аккаунта — свой личный словарь и история повторений: сохранённые слова, контекст, ссылки и результаты видны только вам. Общие для всех пользователей — только готовые переводы слов, озвучка и учебные материалы без вашего контекста. Если вы сами создали ссылку на свой прогресс, её увидит любой, у кого она есть.

Перевод в расширении и демо

Перевод работает без регистрации. Сначала расширение ищет слово во встроенном словаре и в кэше на вашем устройстве. Если перевода нет, оно отправляет на сервер Reworder только само слово или текст, который вы ввели. Сервер может передать его в Google Translate или в резервный MyMemory, а если и там ничего нет — в OpenAI, в том числе для гостей. Полученный перевод сохраняется в общем кэше, чтобы не переводить одно слово дважды. Такие запросы ограничены по количеству. Ваш токен, email, адрес страницы и остальной её текст переводчикам не передаются.

Подсветка новых слов по умолчанию выключена. Если её включить, расширение просматривает текст страницы прямо на устройстве и подписывает переводы из локального словаря — на сервер при этом ничего не уходит.

Демо на главной использует тот же словарь, кэш и механизм перевода. До входа доступны готовые записи озвучки. Нажатие «Сохранить» сохраняет выбранное слово, перевод и предложение в данных текущей вкладки на время входа (до 10 минут); после входа они добавляются в ваш личный словарь.

Сохранение и занятия

Сохранять слова, повторять карточки, слушать озвучку и получать учебные материалы можно после входа. Когда вы сохраняете слово, расширение сначала записывает его локально, а потом отправляет на сервер: слово, перевод, выбранное предложение и адрес страницы. Всё это остаётся в вашем личном словаре. Чтобы подготовить перевод, примеры и объяснение, сервер может отправить слово и предложение в OpenAI.

Озвучка синтезирована. Для неё в OpenAI уходит только само слово — без токена, email и контекста. Готовая запись хранится в общем хранилище (Amazon S3), используется всеми пользователями повторно и кэшируется браузером; у записи есть прямая ссылка. После входа расширение может заранее заказать озвучку слова, перевод которого вы открыли, даже если перевод нашёлся локально. Неотправленные запросы ждут в локальной очереди браузера и привязаны к вашему подключению.

Вход и где что лежит

Вход — через Google. Сервер проверяет его и хранит подтверждённый email. На сайте используется cookie сеанса. Расширение держит настройки и токен доступа в хранилище браузера, которое браузер может синхронизировать между вашими устройствами, если это включено. Словарь, кэш переводов и очередь несохранённых слов лежат в IndexedDB на устройстве.

Чтобы найти слово, по которому вы кликнули, расширение читает текст страницы на устройстве. Когда вы открываете окно расширения, выделенный текст, предложение вокруг него и адрес страницы могут подставиться в форму — на сервер они уходят только если вы сохраняете слово. Историю посещений мы не собираем, страницы целиком не отправляем, рекламных трекеров и поведенческой аналитики нет. Сервер и сеть доставки ведут обычные технические журналы запросов — они нужны для работы и защиты сервиса.

Что вы можете сделать

Пользоваться переводом без входа и ничего не сохранять. Выйти из аккаунта в расширении, очистить его данные или удалить расширение — локальное хранилище при этом очищается. Уже отправленные слова остаются в вашем аккаунте; чтобы удалить аккаунт и данные, напишите на адрес ниже.

Ограниченное использование данных

Reworder использует данные только для описанных функций изучения слов. Работа с данными, в том числе полученными через Google API, соответствует политике Chrome Web Store в отношении пользовательских данных и требованиям Limited Use. Мы не продаём данные, не показываем рекламу и не используем данные для оценки кредитоспособности.

Privacy notice

Each Reworder account has its own vocabulary and review history. Saved page context, source links and learning progress are private to that account. Generic dictionary translations, pronunciation recordings and study materials without personal context are cached and reused across users. Progress you explicitly publish using a sharing link is accessible to anyone with that link.

Translation

The homepage demo uses the same dictionary, cache and translation code as the extension. Guests can listen to existing recordings. Save keeps the selected word, translation and sentence in tab storage during sign-in (up to 10 minutes), then adds them to your private vocabulary. Dictionary sources, changes and licenses.

Optional new-word highlighting is off by default. When enabled, it examines page text on your device and displays translations from the local dictionary. Highlighting does not send words or pages to a server.

Packaged and cached translations are looked up on your device without registration. For a missing translation, the extension sends only the word you select or text you type for translation to reworder.me. The server may send that text to Google Translate or the fallback provider MyMemory. If no translation is available, the word or short phrase may be sent to OpenAI, including for guests. The resulting dictionary translation is retained in the shared cache. These requests are subject to abuse-prevention limits. Your Reworder token, email, page URL and the rest of the page are not sent to these translation providers.

Explicit saves and study features

Saving words, reviewing flashcards, preparing pronunciation and AI study materials require sign-in. Translating a word missing from the cache is an exception: OpenAI may be used without registration. After sign-in, a successfully translated English word may also be sent to Reworder to prepare shared pronunciation in the background, including when its translation was found locally. This request uses your connection token for authorization; page context and its URL are not sent for pronunciation. For a new recording, only the word is sent to OpenAI, without your token or email. The completed recording version is retained in shared Amazon S3 storage and reused for all users without synthesizing it again. Unsent requests are temporarily retained in the browser's local queue and bound to the account connection. Passive page highlighting does not create these requests.

When you choose to save a word, the extension stores it locally and queues delivery to the server. The record can include a translation, selected context and the source page URL. These become part of your personal vocabulary. The server may send the saved word and context to OpenAI to generate translations, examples and study materials. For pronunciation, only the saved word or phrase is sent to OpenAI. The voice is AI-generated; completed audio files are stored on the server, cached by the browser for repeat playback, and may be accessible through direct links. Review history and vocabulary state are stored separately for your account.

Account and device data

Google is used for sign-in. Reworder verifies authentication and stores the account's verified email. The website uses a session cookie. Extension settings and the access token use browser storage that supports sync; your browser may synchronize these through your browser account when that feature is enabled. The vocabulary cache, learned translations and pending saves are kept locally in IndexedDB. The extension reads page text to identify the word you click. Opening its popup may fill the form locally with selected text, surrounding context and the source page URL. Context and the page URL are sent to the server only when you save a word. It does not collect browsing history or upload whole pages.

Reworder does not use advertising trackers or behavioural analytics. Server and delivery infrastructure may keep technical request logs, including network information used to operate and protect the service. External providers process requests according to their own policies.

Your choices

You can use local translations without an account and choose not to save words. You can sign out in the extension, clear its browser data or uninstall it. Uninstalling clears extension storage but does not by itself remove records already saved to your account.

Limited Use

Reworder uses user data for the vocabulary learning features described here. Our use and transfer of user data, including information received through Google APIs, comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data or use it for personalized advertising or creditworthiness assessments.
